What I did this summer.

Eek, three months since my last blog? I really do suck at blogging. Really gonna try harder this time, I promise.

So, I'm moving out tomorrow. To my dad's. I start collage on Monday. Really nervous, probably not gonna have any friends. But on the plus side I'll get to draw every day which will be awesome.

Any way, things that have happened to me since I last blogged:
I Left school;
I went to prom (it sucked);
I went to see Eclipse (it sucked too);
I turned 18;
I got a cardboard cut out of Matt Smith for my birthday (thanks mum);
I saw Toy Story 3;
I went to Edinburgh Book Festival to see John Green;
I got books signed by John Green;
I saw Blink 182;
and I saw Scott Pilgrim.

On the whole my summer has been pretty good. And regular blogging will hopefully resume soon.

Birthdays and Rubik's cubes

Ok, I'm gonna squeeze one more blog in before May is over.

So, on Friday I went my old friend, Ian's 18th birthday party. It was really good even though I only stayed for a couple of hours because my friend who I went with couldn't stay long and I didn't want to be left sitting awkwardly by myself for the rest of the night. The thing was I thought it would be weird if I went because I don't really talk to Ian much but it wasn't. I think even though we don't see each other much we're still into same things and have the same sense of humour and hate the same things, I remember us high-fiving over hating someone but honestly can't remember who it was. So, really it kinda made me a bit sad to think that I hadn't talked to him for such a long time, we used to hang out all the time, so once all my exams are over we're gonna start to hang out more.

Other than that I haven't really done much this weekend other than sit around in my pjs, watch Eurovision and try to solve my Rubik's cube, which is what I'm gonna go back to doing now.

The End is Nigh.

Wow, it's been over two months since I lasted posted anything. In all honesty I have been busy. The past couple of months I've had to finish folios and courses and school. I have almost official left school, we had our last day on the 10th of May, the school to us bowling and went to Pizza Hut for lunch, now I only have to go to school to do my exams, which I only have two left now, and then get my leavers form signed and then I shall be free!! Except that I'll have to go to prom, I'm not gonna go thinking that it's gonna be great, 'cause it won't. It will be awful, want to know why? 'Cause my year had to plan it, and anything they planed this year has been a total let down combined with terrible music, if I hear the YMCA at prom you will find me in the toilets trying to hang myself with £20 scarf thing. I think might bring my ipod with me just in case.

I don't think I ever mentioned it in any previous blogs but I applied to collage to do illustration and I got a conditional offer, so if all goes well and I get a C or higher in Art, that's what I shall be doing for the next two years. I really do hope I do get to do it, I think for as long as I can remember I've wanted to be an artist (well, not counting those few years where I thought about being a chemist), so this for me this would be amazing.

Speaking of art, I may not be doing the indieVISUAL challenge any more but I have been doing a lot more drawing than previously. I've already filled one sketch book and half way through my second one, which I reckon I will have completed by the end of June if I continue at this rate. I have really enjoyed the freedom of being able to draw what I want recently and my ability to experiment with different mediums and techniques to develop my own style further.

Any way, time for me to talk about TV. New Doctor Who. Where to start? Hmm, I guess I should start with Matt Smith, I love him, I think he's perfect for the Doctor and hope he stays for a few series. I love eleven's outfit, particularly his bow tie, bow ties are cool. Amy Pond, she is so ... feisty and so original. I love that she's not in love with the Doctor because I think that that is so boring and Rose Tyler. Although having said that I did think the end of Flesh and Stone was very amusing when she tried to get with the Doctor. So, now I have something to look forward to now every Saturday

Now, I know I say this all the time but I am going to blog more this summer, mainly so I don't forget all the stuff that I will have done and to get get back in the habit of blogging. I think I'm going to aim to blog at least once a week. So, see ye soon.

Sophie Is Boring.

So, I just realised that if I want to pass my classes this year I'm actually going to have to try and work. A lot of my of my stuff for art needs to be finished for next Friday so I'm gonna have to actually start it really soon. Too much stress!

I swore I had more to blog about, obviously I was wrong. Hm... Perhaps I should just not bother. Seems like a bit of waste of time not to post one now.

Oh! I watched the Corpse Bride last night for the first time. It was amazing. The animation was flawless. And I loved how Victor looked almost exactly like Johnny Depp, it was so cool. The only problem I had with it was, I wasn't sure why Victor was gonna marry the Emily, it confused me so much. Other than that I loved it. Speaking of all things Tim Burton, I'm going to Alice In Wonderland on Sunday. At the iMax. In 3D. Super excited!

I can't believe that's all I have to say. Well, all I can say on the Internet. Some things you just can't post.
ok, PUBLISH POST. *click*

Insert Title Here.

God, I suck at blogging. One blog a month is pitiful. I'd like people think I haven't been blogging because I have so much going on but that just isn't true. Very little is going.

I mean, I have had a rather busy weekend. My aunt came over to stay on Friday and she brought her beautiful greyhound Mandy with her. She is the most adorable dog in the world even if she is a bit lazy and dumb at times. And then on Saturday I had to get super early at like 7am, which is earlier than when I get up for school, to go Glasgow with my aunt because I needed to get an A3 marker pad for art, I also treated myself and bought a Tim Burton book with all his artwork and sketches in it, because I adore his artwork so much. On my way home, I discovered that all the trains were off and I had to get a replacement bus back which took nearly an hour and half or something. But the plus side to this was that I got a window seat and it was very pretty outside 'cause everywhere was covered in snow. I got back home about 11:30 which was awesome because it meant I still had the whole day ahead of me. So, I then spent the rest of the weekend working on my design folio for art and once I'm finished it I never want to see another Cheshire Cat in my life (unless it's from Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland).

I also made a huge discovery today, my brother is actually kinda arty. I only found this out because my mum told me brother had book in his room that looked interesting so I went to check it out. I noticed a few sketch pads so I had a look in them (cause I'm nosey) and his drawings are good. Not in the same way as mine are or most art but they're very unique and like them. So, I just found his deviantART page and I've been snooping through his gallery and it's cool. I don't really talk to my brother, so I kinda feel like a know him a bit better now and he's far more creative than I thought. Although, having said that I don't plan on telling him, I think I'll let him keep his privacy.

Anyway I got stuff to do so I'm gonna leave that there.

Blaarrg.

God, it's been almost a month since I last blogged, can you believe that? Well, if I'm honest I've been super busy with school and studying and dropping subjects. I currently have perlims the now. They started yesterday, and I've already sat two of them and I have one more tomorrow and the that's me finished and I'll have week off. It kinda sucks though because we have two weeks for the prelims and my exams are all the first three days! So not fair.

I also dropped Chemistry. I used to really like chemistry but now it's just too hard for me it just fries my brain and I don't get any of it. It also means I've had a change of heart about what I want to do once I leave school. I use to want to go to uni to study chemistry but I think I'm gonna go to college to study illustration or graphic design. I know that's a strange change of plan but I really love to draw it's something I do for fun and I've got some natural talent in. And if I'm honest it sounds like more fun.

Recently I had an idea for a good blog, I'm gonna do one about five things I like and I might do one about five things I dislike. I think narrowing down the things I don't like might take a while though. I might start an entirely new blog for this and each week do five different things ... I like this idea. Yeah. I'm gonna do that! Yay! another way for me to waste my time. Wonder how long I'll keep it up?

Yeah, so I've got some studying to do, which I probably won't do till late but I'm stopping now with the intention of doing some studying. :D

Thursday 7 January 2010

Yay for the new year.

I know I said I was doing the indieVisual challenge thing but I've already given up. Not totally but a little a bit, I'm all ready finding it difficult to draw everyday but I am going to try. I'm NOT going to post anything here or on tumblr (because I deleted my account). If I really like something I may post it on my deviantART but ... no I'm not going to link it. I'm just going to use the indievisual idea to motivate me into drawing more and hopefully everyday. I know couple of people followed me because they thought I was doing and I'm sorry but I'm not. And if you want to un-follow me (if you can that that is) I will not be offended.

In real life, I went back to school yesterday. It's not fun. Everything I've ever leaned flew out of my head. And I've been struggling to stay awake in class. So, over all I'm not happy about being back at school, I just want to stay at home in my PJs and watch crap TV rather than trek through the snow to spend six hours in a place I can't wait to leave.

I'm also semi talking to an old friend again. It's odd. I'm not sure if I should trust them or not. I haven't spoke to them in over year and before that I hadn't spoke to them for another year. I don't know what to do. I know most of my friends don't like him and one is friends with him. So there's no way I can get an unbiased opinion on what to do. I think I'm just going to leave our friendship the way it is, I don't think I'm going to start hanging out with him, I don't want him to get the wrong idea again. I don't know how that makes me seem but I am a nice person.

Going to finish this up here. I've done a lot recently, but I just don't have the energy to remember it let alone write about. I haven't read this through so if it doesn't make sense then I'm sorry.
